When we decided to move and build a new house in town we were looking for a contractor who would be able to accommodate our ideas and flexible enough to accept our choice of one of the trades (a close friend of ours). At no time in the process did he disappoint even though our building project landed in the middle of a tough winter and the Covid19 period. We needed a experienced contractor who was approachable at any time, a contractor who would be on-site, who immediately responds to calls, keeps costs and timelines under control and who listened to our (sometimes silly) questions and requests. My wife and I had very specific ideas on what our new home should look like and when we presented our rudimentary plans of a somewhat unusual building Murray listened to our wishes and in the process suggested a few minor changes to the original design which my wife and I readily agreed to as our knowledge of building are very limited indeed. Prior to starting our project we heard all kind of warnings ranging from absent contractors, cost over-runs, hidden costs, sloppy work right down to dishonesty - none of which was our experience with Murray Gable. From the initial consultation to dealing with permits and the completion of the building Murray and his crew were at the ball to our fullest satisfaction.
